A poem by my daughter
Here’s a poem by my daughter. As she read it to me I found myself challenged by her words so I asked if I could share it here. She said yes. I hope you enjoy it too.
I look down the pew
Full of red, white, and blue
And wonder what they all think
About men wearing pink
And when they were young
What kind of songs they were sung
Do they think all men are created equal
Or are some men illegal
And do they think women can be strong
Or should they just play along
Do they think America’s the best
Even with the unrest
Do they live in the land of the free
Or those on one knee?
